THE TROTS

It’s not everyday I get to rig a character, and what a wonderful opportunity to be able to animate a horse, moving in a very specific way. Trotting is a moderate-speed, two-beat diagonal gait used by horses, where diagonal pairs of legs move forward together, separated by a brief suspension phase. It is faster than a walk but slower than a gallop. I love a good motion challenge!
